1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website located at https://rcadothan.org and any related pages, content, and features (collectively, the “Site”), which is operated by Ridgecrest Christian Academy (“RCA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a ministry of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Dothan, Alabama.

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. Who May Use the Site

The Site is intended for use by adults — parents and guardians, prospective families, alumni, donors, employees, applicants, and members of the community. If you are under the age of 18, you may use the Site only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the Site, you represent that you have the legal capacity to accept these Terms.

3. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on this page and changing the “Last Updated” date. Changes take effect when posted. Your continued use of the Site after that time means you accept the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

4. Permitted Use

You may use the Site for lawful, personal, and informational purposes related to Ridgecrest Christian Academy — for example, learning about our programs, submitting an admissions inquiry, requesting a tour, viewing the school calendar, or contacting the school office.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree that you will not:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through any form on the Site
  • Impersonate any person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organization
  • Harass, threaten, defame, or harm any student, family, employee, or other person
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, the parent portal, or any account or system connected to the Site
  • Introduce viruses, malware, or any other harmful code
  • Use automated means such as robots, scrapers, or data-mining tools to collect information from the Site, including information about students, families, or staff
  • Collect or harvest email addresses or other contact information for the purpose of sending unsolicited communications
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Site or the networks connected to it
  • Copy, reproduce, republish, or redistribute Site content except as permitted in Section 6
  • Use the Site in a way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair it

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, photographs, video, audio, page design, and the selection and arrangement of that content — is the property of Ridgecrest Christian Academy, Ridgecrest Baptist Church, or its licensors, and is protected by United States copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may view, download, and print pages from the Site for your own personal, non-commercial use in connection with the school, provided that you do not remove or alter any copyright or other proprietary notices. Any other use — including reproduction, modification, distribution, republication, public display, or commercial use — requires our prior written permission.

7. Trademarks

“Ridgecrest Christian Academy,” “RCA,” the RCA lion logo, and related names, marks, and slogans are trademarks of Ridgecrest Christian Academy or Ridgecrest Baptist Church. You may not use them without our prior written consent. Other names and marks appearing on the Site are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only. Their appearance does not imply any endorsement of RCA by those owners, or of those owners by RCA, unless expressly stated.

8. Photographs and Likeness

The Site contains photographs and video of students, families, faculty, staff, and school events. These images are published with the permissions RCA obtains through its enrollment and media release process and may not be copied, downloaded, altered, reposted, or used for any purpose without our prior written permission. If you are a parent or guardian and wish to have an image of your child removed from the Site, please contact the school office and we will address your request promptly.

9. Forms, Inquiries, and Submissions

Certain features of the Site allow you to submit information to us, including inquiry forms, tour requests, contact forms, and employment interest forms. You agree that any information you submit will be accurate, current, and complete, and that you have the authority to provide any information you submit about another person, including a child.

Submitting an inquiry or a form does not create an enrollment, admission, employment, or contractual relationship of any kind. Admission and employment decisions are made under the school’s separate policies and agreements.

Please do not send us confidential, sensitive, or medical information through a Site form or by unencrypted email. Except for information governed by our Privacy Policy, any comments, ideas, or suggestions you send us may be used by RCA without restriction or obligation to you.

10. Third-Party Links and Services

The Site contains links to websites and services operated by others, including our parent portal, online giving and donation platforms, the spirit store, our church, accrediting bodies, curriculum providers, and social media pages. These links are provided for convenience and information only.

We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability, accuracy, products, services, terms, or privacy practices. A link does not imply endorsement. Your use of any third-party site is at your own risk and is governed by that site’s own terms and policies. Any transaction you enter into with a third party, including a donation or purchase, is solely between you and that third party.

11. Accuracy of Site Content

We work to keep the Site accurate and current, including tuition and fee information, calendars, program descriptions, and event details. Even so, the Site may contain errors, omissions, or out-of-date material, and content is subject to change without notice.

Information on the Site is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not a contract, an offer, or a guarantee of admission, tuition rate, program availability, schedule, or employment. For binding information, please rely on official school documents such as your enrollment agreement, the student handbook, and written communications from the school office, which control in the event of any conflict with the Site.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ON IT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RCA DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the Site or the servers that make it available are free of viruses or other harmful components.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RIDGECREST CHRISTIAN ACADEMY, RIDGECREST BAPTIST CHURCH, AND THEIR TRUSTEES, BOARD MEMBERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SITE — WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, AND WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above may not apply to you. In those cases, our liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by law.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Ridgecrest Christian Academy, Ridgecrest Baptist Church, and their trustees, board members, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or connected with your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person or entity.

15. Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and share information through the Site. Please review it carefully.

16. Accessibility

RCA is committed to making the Site usable by as many visitors as possible, including people with disabilities. If you have difficulty accessing any part of the Site, or if you would like content provided in an alternative format, please contact the school office so that we can assist you.

17. Copyright Concerns

If you believe that material on the Site infringes your copyright, please notify us in writing at the address in Section 21. Please include a description of the copyrighted work, the location of the material on the Site, your contact information, and a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized. We will review and respond to properly submitted notices.

18. Suspension and Termination of Access

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Site or any part of it at any time without notice. We may also restrict or terminate your access to the Site, in whole or in part, at our discretion and without notice, including if we believe you have violated these Terms.

19. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or to the Site are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that any legal action or proceeding will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Houston County, Alabama, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

20. General Provisions

  • If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
  • No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
  • Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and RCA regarding your use of the Site, and they supersede any prior understandings on that subject. They do not replace or alter any separate written agreement between you and the school, such as an enrollment or employment agreement.
  • Section headings are for convenience only and do not affect the interpretation of these Terms.
