Tuition and Fees at RCA | Christian School in Dothan AL

Alabama CHOOSE Act

CHOOSE Act

The Creating Hope and Opportunity for Our Students’ Education Act of 2024 (The CHOOSE Act) is administered by the Alabama Department of Revenue (ALDOR). CHOOSE Act Alabama makes refundable income tax credits called education savings accounts (ESAs) available to support the success of eligible K5-12 students in Alabama.

An ESA can be used to pay for tuition, fees, and other qualified education expenses at approved Education Service Providers (ESPs) in Alabama.

  • $7,000 per participating student who is enrolled in a participating school.
  • $2,000 per participating student who is participating in a home education program (maximum of $4,000 per family.)

Ridgecrest’s key priorities as a participating school of the Choose Act:

  • RCA will continue to operate according to our mission, vision, core priorities, core values, with a Christ-Centered approach to education. Participation in this will not impact who we are as a school, how or what we teach, nor our standards or methodology.
  • RCA sees this as an opportunity for many qualifying families (current and potential) to continue or begin receiving an excellent Christian education with significant financial assistance. Our heart is to keep RCA as an affordable Christian school in order to benefit the greatest number of students within the RCA Family and community.

We believe these decisions and initiatives are completely aligned with our vision of loving our children, loving and welcoming our community, and continuing to make RCA a safe, excellent, and affordable place where gospel ministry and discipleship are carried out in the context of a faithful Christian school.
